Centre for Vietnamese elders, carers & people with health problems. Access to advice on benefits, language support, health care, housing. Health advice drop-in and health talks. Mobile optician. Carers support project provides advice, counselling, help with applications, training, social activities, outings, short breaks. Lunch club two days a week. Games, trips, cultural events, festivities.



Jobcentre Plus - Forest Hill

Combined jobsearch and benefits service for people of working age. Personal advisers assist with jobsearch activities and benefits claims. Five freephones for contact with Benefits Processing Centres. Access to Jobpoint terminals for information on job vacancies. Part of the Department for Work and Pensions' Jobcentre Plus network.

Combined jobsearch and benefits service for people of working age. Personal advisers assist with jobsearch activities and benefits claims. Access to Jobpoint terminals for information on job vacancies. Part of the Department for Work and Pensions.



Turkish Community Project London

Support and advice for Turkish, Kurdish and Turkish speaking people. Casework in housing and welfare benefits. Counselling. Translation and interpreting service.

Support for parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with disabilities or additional needs, living in Lewisham. Information and advice. Quarterly newsletter. Holiday events and activities. Annual family weekends away. Social events for parents/carers. Encourage parents and carers to meet for mutual support.



Lewisham Community Transport Scheme

Low cost vehicle hire for any voluntary organisation within Lewisham or any Lewisham residents with mobility problems. 3 wheelchair user accessible minibuses, 2 standard minibuses, one converted wheelchair carrying car. Pool of volunteer drivers for elderly groups or individuals that cannot provide their own. Service users must become members of the scheme - phone for details.

Lewisham Irish Community Centre

Advice service for the Irish community and the Traveller community in Lewisham Monday - Friday. Drop-in Monday and Tuesday 10am-1pm, Wednesday 12.30pm-3.30pm. Outreach work with older Irish people. Travellers outreach worker. Community centre runs pensioners groups, cultural events and classes.



New Community Debt Advice Service

Debt advice for people who are in financial difficulty or need help in managing their money. Help with the preparation of budgets, repayment plans and in negotiation with creditors.

Voluntary Care Centre

Recruits, trains and provides volunteers who give practical help to people in need. Befriending, shopping and escorting. DIY and volunteer driving scheme for anyone in Lewisham who cannot use public transport. Social club for people with mental health difficulties.
