Migrant Advisory and Advocacy Service (MAAS)

Information, advice, casework and advocacy services for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers on immigration and nationality issues, asylum and refugee law, welfare benefits, employment and housing rights. Representation at appeals and tribunals.



Buckingham, Winslow and District CAB

Advice and information on a range of issues, including housing rights, welfare rights and benefits, money/debt, consumer rights and employment rights. Weekly evening session with solicitors, tax advisers, employment consultants by referral. Debt advice by appointment Wednesday 6-7pm.



Welwyn Hatfield CAB

Advice and information on a range of issues, including benefits and welfare rights, consumer, employment and housing rights, money and debt. Appointments available with a solicitor and surveyor. Phone advice service Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm.



Kalayaan (Justice for Migrant Domestic Workers from Overseas)

Lobbying and campaigning for the rights of migrant domestic workers of any nationality who are in the UK on domestic worker visas. Referrals to immigration and employment lawyers. 4 monthly legal advice surgeries (contact for details of times). ESOL classes, aerobics classes and health advice. Social space for migrant domestic workers to relax and meet friends.



Pathways Family Support Centre

Services for adults aged 16+, male and female, who are experiencing or who have experienced domestic abuse. Helpline. Legal advice. Counselling. Personal development programmes. Women's Freedom programme. Holistic therapies. Male perpetrator programme.



North Westminster Drug and Alcohol Service

Service for residents of Westminster and their families who are affected by drug and alcohol problems. Support services include primary health care, drop-in and advice, counselling, group therapy, needle exchange and harm reduction services, relapse prevention, substitute prescribing, support for families and carers, legal advice, advice on housing and benefits, support with accessing detox.



Staying Put - Bradford

Offers a flexible range of services to women and children experiencing domestic abuse, including crisis intervention support, Independent Domestic Abuse Advisory, legal assistance and improving home security by changing locks and installing panic alarms. Partnership working with children's services and refuge and hostel accommodation providers.



Redress

Helps torture survivors to obtain justice and reparation. Advocacy, advice, referrals, casework, litigation support and representation. Research and information on issues around reparation and access to justice. Awareness raising on issues relating to torture.



AIRE Centre (Advice on Individual Rights in Europe)

Specialist charity providing advice (mostly on a 2nd tier basis)on the rights of European Economic Area (EEA) nationals & their family members on: right to work & self-employment (particularly for central & east European migrants); right to benefits, housing & healthcare; immigration issues. Also provide free representation and/or advice for applicants before European Court of Human Rights.



Age UK - Ealing

Information and advice for older people on a range of issues, including benefits, general advocacy i.e. utility bills. Day Opportunities in 5 parts of the borough (call for details).
