General information
Service offered: Listening Books is a national UK charity that provides an online and postal audiobook lending service for anyone with a learning or mental health difficulty, illness, or disability which affects their ability to read the printed word, or to hold books in the usual way. We have over 10,000 wonderful fiction and non-fiction titles in our collection, including popular authors such as David Walliams, Malorie Blackman, Khaled Hosseini, Agatha Christie and many more. We also have set texts and study guides supporting the National Curriculum and many of our educational titles are recorded in our professional digital studios and aren’t available anywhere else! Membership starts from £20 per year, however we can offer free memberships to individuals who would find our usual annual fees of between £20 and £45, a barrier to joining. For more information please visit our website: https://www.listening-books.org.uk/about-us/membership, or get in touch on the contact details above.
Target group: Adults and children who find it difficult to read the printed word due to a print impairment.
Area served: UK.
