General information

Service offered: The North Lanarkshire Community Legal Service is funded by the Scottish Legal Aid Board and is managed by Airdrie Citizens Advice Bureau in partnership with Motherwell & Wishaw CAB and Lanarkshire Community Law Centre.  We aim to provide legal, debt and welfare rights advice services to those facing homelessness through mortgage repossession and repossession of tenancy. We work with advice agencies, solicitors and other organisations throughout North Lanarkshire to provide representation, financial education, income maximisation and outgoings reduction. What we can do for you: Assess your eligibility for Legal Aid/Refer you to a local solicitor/If you are not eligible for Legal Aid, we may be able to provide you with legal advice and/or representation on matters within our remit/Offer you additional debt advice/Negotiate with your creditors/Discuss and plan debt solutions/Assist you with matters relating to Universal Credit and other benefits.
