General information

Service offered: MSU offers a confidential, free to use telephone helpline service. MSU can offer callers emotional support, help and information and will signpost clients to other specialist services. All MSU staff are trained professionals who have experience of working with men who have experienced domestic abuse. MSU have units of emergency accommodation and longer term accommodation for men in a crisis situation, needing immediate support, During this time staff will help service users into more appropriate, safe and longer term accommodation with support. MSU can offer a floating support service to enable male survivors of domestic abuse to live safely in the community, maintaining their tenancy. A support worker will be assigned to support service users . The peer support group meets every 4 weeks and gives a platform for service users to share their experiences, views and opinions and provide support to their peers. The Men Standing Up Service provide support to our service users to enable them to be supported through legal and court processes.
