General information

Service offered: reephone confidential 24 hour domestic abuse helpline for women and men offering support via the telephone. Offer impartial advice on safety planning, legal options, finances, safeguarding children, housing options and immigration issues. One to one and group work support for children whose experience of domestic abuse is causing problems. Further support includes a maximum of 12 weeks one to one support in the community for anyone unable to access the advice centre. Referrals to refuge accommodation, floating support, counselling, art therapy. Freedom Programme 12 week domestic abuse awareness course offered in community settings. Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVA) and Voluntary Perpetrator Programme. Advice centre in Chesterfield also offers a drop in service.
