General information

Service offered: The Croydon branch of the APCMH was founded in 2003, by families concerned that their relatives who were enduring mental health problems were not being cared for spiritually and pastorally. The objectives of the Association are ‘to enhance the quality of life, self respect and spiritual growth of those affected by mental health or emotional difficulties'. We aim to help all those who come to us to realise their full potential as individuals and participating members of society and so help improve the quality of their lives - especially in and around the London Borough of Croydon. We also run a small service to help our existing members and those from other faith and non-faith groups in the Croydon area who are experiencing difficulties with correspondence, contacting local services, or dealing with benefit problems. The service aims to help resolve any difficulties people are experiencing with claiming the correct benefits through a combination of advocacy, signposting and hands-on form filling.
