Service offered: Support for anyone 55 years old or over in South West Sheffield who needs housing-related support. We can help if you need extra support to remain independent, manage your home, or keep safe. You may have recently lost a partner, be going through bereavement and find it difficult to cope without them. You might have mobility problems now and not be able to get out much. Your family and friends may live far away and you could feel isolated.
Target group: Anyone 55 years old or over in South West Sheffield with housing problems, at risk of becoming homeless, or who have been homeless before who need help to deal with their housing problems.
Area served: South West Sheffield. Depending on your postal code area, it may be Support55 (0114 290 8359) or Age UK (0114 250 2871) who are the appropriate provider of support for your area, not Shelter.
How to contact: By phone – to speak to an admin about how to access support. Via drop-ins – to speak to a support worker. By referral from other agencies – you may be allocated a support worker.
