Service offered: MEWSo’s mission is to support and empower BME women in London to rebuild their lives. Our mission is to work to prevent and end violence and abuse against women as well as providing services to meet the needs of survivors. Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives free from abuse. Our mission is to promote and facilitate equality, integration, community cohesion and cross-cultural understanding. Our qualified advisers are available by appointment and will provide information, guidance and advice to clients who need support to overcome traumas, domestic, sexual and honour related violence, female genital mutilation, child and arranged marriages, relationship issues (including Polygamy) and mental and physical health. We can also provide advice on benefits, housing, immigration, child care, employment, further education and social services. We will help clients understand and fill out complex documents on housing and benefit requests, medical and legal documents to name only few examples. Additional satellite office in Westminster - Church Street Neighbourhood Centre, Cherwell House, Penfold Street NW8 8PT (Open Monday/Wednesday 10am-4pm)
