General information

Service offered: Forth Valley Sensory Centre, in Camelon, is a place where people with visual or hearing loss and the wider community can access quality services and advice from our partner organisations. The Centre contains a number of different partners and organisations, all dedicated to helping anyone, young or old, who has a sensory impairment live as independently as possible. All our groups, from the Bo’ness Blind and Partially Sighted Group to the Sensory Singers to Knit and Natter (Falkirk or Stirling) are delighted to welcome new faces and the focus is on fun and friendship, no experience is required! The RNIB and Action on Hearing Loss Resource Centres also offers the chance to drop in and discuss any additional needs, support or equipment that your friend or family member may need. Advice on Employment and Welfare issues is also available to ensure the rights of you or your family member are being respected. You can also obtain advice from the Falkirk Councils Social Services Team and Stirling Councils Social Services Team on a wide range of topics. We also provide support for families, including social groups and gatherings. Volunteering, Social functions, Community advice, Befriending, Learning braille
