Service offered: Sight Service is a local charity based in the North East of England, who support people who are visually impaired living in Gateshead, South Tyneside and surrounding areas. Our services are open to anyone who has serious sight loss. We provide information and support to friends and families of people with sight loss, as well as advice to fellow health and social care professionals. It is our aim to: Promote eye health to prevent sight loss. Reduce the impact of sight loss. Provide support for people with sight loss. We provide specialist technology training at all levels. We run innovative projects including children and youth activities, employability skills support, volunteering opportunities, peer support and mentoring. We offer a wide range of social, leisure and training activities, as well as having an onsite gym and a community café. Employment advice, Assistive technology products, Emotional support
