General information
Service offered: If you’ve been affected by crime, call your local victim care team in West Yorkshire on 0300 303 1971. Lines are open 8am-8pm Monday to Saturday. If you need support outside of our open hours, call our Supportline for free on 08 08 16 89 111 or request support via our website. Alternatively, you can contact us via live chat - our normal operating hours are from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. West Yorkshire Victim Support provides a free, confidential, victim-centred service which is open to anyone affected by crime, regardless whether or not they have reported the crime to the police. This helps us to ensure that no needs, and no victims, are left without support. Last year we offered immediate support to over 37,000 people affected by crime in West Yorkshire, and gave in-depth support to more than 3,000 people. Our service is non-discriminatory and available to all those who need it, especially since the planned expansion of our services to Victims Hubs in Leeds, Wakefield and Bradford. We provide interpreting and translation services, by phone and our staff and volunteers receive training to support people whose first language is not English. Our staff and volunteers are also trained to work with people with learning disabilities and mental health problems, so that they provide an inclusive first point of call.
