General information
Service offered: Caring Together Charity is a leading charity supporting carers of all ages across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Norfolk. Caring Together Charity’s vision is a world with no unpaid carer in crisis, isolated or struggling alone. If you are an unpaid carer, they are there to help you. They can give you information and advice, and provide services and support to make your caring role more manageable, to benefit you and the person you support. A carer is anyone, including children and adults, who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, and who would find it hard cope without that support. Services offered include information and advice, homecare, hubs and groups, someone to speak to, and counselling support, emergency planning and support, learning opportunities and flexible breaks. Caring Together Charity offers young carers and young adult carers support, and groups and activities. They also offer carer awareness training for organisations to help them know how to identify and support carers to enable them to work towards the Carer Friendly Tick Award accreditation. This includes employers and organisations involved in education, health care and the community. They are CQC registered with homecare workers able to provide care in the home and in the community.
Target group: Unpaid family carers of all ages caring for people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, palliative conditions, learning difficulties, mental health needs or an addiction. Carers can be of any age. People with care needs.
