General information
Service offered: Our aim is to build together a caring community, where people feel accepted, loved and valued. ‘Living Well’ suggests health and wholeness for individuals and community and also reminds us of Jesus’ meeting with the Samaritan woman (John 4:10), where he talks about giving ‘living water’. We achieve our aim by working with partners to support vulnerable people - with addictions, mental health problems, debt, homelessness or other reasons – in Penge and the surrounding area. We work closely with local churches, schools, businesses and individuals and groups from across the local community to provide a place where people feel welcome and can enjoy hot meal, some food to take home, friendship and advice if needed. All that we do is offered freely to those who take part. We are a registered charity and depend entirely on the work of volunteers and the generosity of our donors to keep going. Our services are all free to use and include a foodbank, a community lunch, mental health support, debt advice and help with addiction.
