General information
Service offered: The Listening Lounge provides a safe, comfortable and confidential space that is open out of normal working hours to support anyone over the age of 18 face to face with their mental wellbeing. This service has a worker who will follow up one to one with clients the following day and refer into other relevant support they may need such as housing, drugs/ alcohol, benefits, debt. The client will then be supported with mental health in their journey to recovery. This services aims to support individuals who may have previously accessed A&E and or potentially be admitted on to a mental health ward. The out of hours drop in element allows individuals to access help when it is needed in a none clinical setting and to avoid escalation. We would value your support in referring in to this service and spreading the word about this valuable support. This is a free walk in or self-referral service that is run by staff and volunteers at Rochdale & District Mind, in partnership with local NHS services. Referrals from professionals are welcome with consent from client.
