General information

Service offered: PIP Professional Support CIC is a regulated not for profit organisation, offering affordable assistance with PIP, ADP, ESA and UC (WCA) claims, assessments and legally drafted MR submissions to the DWP. Since 2019, we have committed to the majority of our profits going into offering free online advice and support on a national level. We have a significant point of difference to many other organisations as we almost exclusively actively recruit and employ people with lived experience of disability. In addition to this, many of our team are legally qualified, which means that we are excellently placed to understand claimants limitations. Form Completion - Our highly trained Advocates complete benefit application forms by phone or Microsoft Teams, using a digital copy of the form. Claimants along with their carers or family, can sit in the comfort of their own surroundings, whilst the Advocate discusses the content of the form, taking into consideration relevant and up to date case law and legislation, which form the criteria for the benefit. Once the form is complete, it is then reviewed by a member of our legal team, to ensure that it meets the narrow criteria and strict legal precedents. Claimants will then be sent a draft to review and approve. Due to the high level of relevant detail that we include in our forms, many of these result in an award being made without the Claimant not being required to attend an assessment. Assessment Advocacy - Our team can assist with DWP disability benefit assessments - held by telephone, video or at an assessment centre. In addition to support, our Advocates will review any documentation in advance of the assessment and have two prep calls (and a debrief afterwards) with the Claimant. During the assessment, they take full notes of what is discussed. We also offer ongoing assistance to calculate the points the assessor has recommended, after the event. Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) - Our legal team drafts MR’s as legal submissions, utilising the DWP assessment report, the decision notice and any other documentation. We support Claimants to obtain their full medical records to substantiate their claims. In 2023, the Government confirmed that a mere 26% of MR’s lodged nationally, led to a change in the Claimants award, however for PIPPS we find that 60-75% of our MR submissions result in an increased award for our clients. Appeals via - PIPP Advocacy Ltd, who can assist with appeals at any stage, from inception, right up to just before the hearing itself. The sooner we are involved, the longer we have to work on and build your case. We will lodge the appeal with the courts, deal with all the correspondence, support you to obtain evidence to substantiate your claim, draft the legal submission and one of our qualified Lawyers will attend your hearing with you via telephone or video link. Free Advice Service - Our free online advice service is available throughout the U.K. and can be accessed via email, our social media and WhatsApp. We have agents ready to assist you each working day. If you have any questions, queries or need support – don’t hesitate to contact one of the team.
