General information
Service offered: Helping families in Scotland to thrive, through family-centred Support and Childcare services. We provide children with a safe, fun and stimulating environment; allowing parents/carers respite to pursue education, training and employment. Our childcare is delivered within the context of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), ‘The Promise’, and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Flexible Childcare is delivered from our child and family centre in Glasgow, as well as via outreach in the heart of our communities. Family Support offers 1-to-1 advice, as well as group workshops, play sessions, community meals and exciting daytrips. These provide a place for discovery and friendship, assisting families in areas such as: Broadening Horizons, Community Engagement, Early Learning, Money Advice/Income Maximisation, Parenting Skills, Whole Family Support. We adopt a partnership approach, leveraging the skills of others to complement the expertise within our own team and thereby amplifying our impact. By working alongside families and employing a social pedagogy co-production model, we ensure that children, young people, parents, and carers play a central role in shaping their care plans and future opportunities. Family Support is delivered via our hubs in Glasgow and South Ayrshire, as well as outreach in the heart of our communities.
