Service offered: Information and support for informal carers. Advocacy. Telephone support. Social activities. Welfare benefits advice. Support groups. Information Advice Support Service and Independent Support for parents and carers of a child with special educational needs or young people with special educational needs. Groups for parent carers, dementia, black, Asian and minority ethnic carers, young carers in Barking and Dagenham and Thurrock. Various training courses available for carers.
Target group: Carers in Barking and Dagenham and Havering, and young carers aged 8 - 18 within Barking and Dagenham and Thurrock. Parents of children with special educational needs. Adult carers.
