General information

Service offered: Spires is a south London based charity that has been supporting homeless and disadvantaged men & women for over 30 years. We offer comprehensive services, either independently or in collaboration, to people facing homelessness or poverty. Clients often deal with complex issues like unemployment, financial pressure, substance or alcohol addiction, and physical or mental health challenges that may lead to homelessness. Our services provide the necessary advice and support to help build their confidence and independence, enabling them to avoid or overcome homelessness while ensuring their safety and well-being. We operate across multiple sites throughout south London, including Stockwell, Brixton, Streatham, Tooting, West Norwood & Croydon.

Target group: Homeless people and other disadvantaged groups, including rough sleepers and women sex workers.

Area served: Lambeth, Wandsworth, Merton, Southwark and Lewisham

Monday: 9am-11:30am | Rough Sleeper’s Drop-In at St Nicholas Church, Tooting, Church Lane, SW17 9PP.

Tuesday: 9am-11:30am | Rough Sleeper’s Drop-In at St Luke’s Church, 13 Norwood High St, SE27 ODT. 1pm-3pm | Drop-In for newly granted refugees facing homelessness at West Croydon Baptist Church, Whitehorse Road, CR0 2JH.

Wednesday: Closed

Thursday: 9am-11:30am | Rough Sleeper’s Drop-In at St Leonard’s Church, 8 Tooting Bec Gardens, SW16 1RB. 9am-12:00pm | Women’s only drop-in at 2nd Floor, Elmfield House, 5 Stockwell Mews, Stockwell, SW9 9GX. Please note, if using google maps it can work best to just use the postcode.

Friday: 9am-11:30am | Rough Sleeper’s Drop-In at St Luke’s Church, 13 Norwood High St, SE27 ODT.

Weekends: Closed

Office Hours: Monday-Friday 08.30-16.00 every day but not client facing. 2nd Floor, Elmfield House, 5 Stockwell Mews, Stockwell, SW9 9GX
