Service offered: We offer a range of services for older people in Buckinghamshire, aimed at supporting them achieve and maintain their independence. We have a number of free services: Our Information and Advice line offers free and impartial advice on all issues concerning older people, their families and carers. Our Befriending Service aims to help prevent social isolation by matching trained volunteers with older people and offering weekly social contact. The Welfare Benefits Service supports older people in Bucks with claiming key benefits such as Attendance Allowance and ensuring they are in receipt of all the benefits they are entitled to. We also have some chargeable services that are aimed at supporting older people to live independently, by offering trusted agents over a number of services: Help in the Home (Cleaning & Ironing), Toe nail cutting, Hairdressing, Computer training, Handyperson and Gardening.
