Service offered: The Ruth Winston Community Centre is an activity and resource centre for people located in Palmers Green and serving Enfield Borough and immediate surrounding areas. Open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm weekdays. We offer a bright, welcoming environment where people from all walks of life including everyone from all cultures and ethnic backgrounds can join in. You must be independent or bring a carer to take part in a wide range of activities. It’s the ideal place to make new friends, socialise, learn new skills and ensure you live life to the full. ACTIVITIES & CLASSES. There’s always plenty going on at the Centre. We offer many different classes, all year round to cater for all interests including: Languages – French, Spanish Conversation, Beginners Spanish. Creative – Mosaic, Crafts, Knitting, Art Groups, Poetry, Creative Writing. Tuition - Art, Flower Arranging, Bridge for Beginners, Whist, Latin American Dance. Computer Skills – Basic skills, Internet, MS Office packages, Windows 10. Fitness and Dance – Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, Latin American Dance, Arm Chair Exercises and Chair Yoga . Social – Bridge, Whist and Table Tennis, Monthly film club, Wine Appreciation Group, Art club, Craft and Mosaic classes. Services also include a Hairdresser and Chiropodist. Light Lunches free Wi-Fi.
