General information
Service offered: Equipment & Information Centre for blind and partially sighted people, their families and carers. Provides advice, equipment, information, technology ,volunteer visiting service, social and support groups and a quarterly newsletter in large print, audio or Braille. Eye Clinic Liaison Officer Information and support service at York Hospital. Also offers training on sight loss awareness for other organisations and businesses, and a National Lottery-funded outreach project helping visually impaired people to access groups and activities in the community. Also offer support and advice for people with sight loss across Yorkshire and Humber who are working towards employment.
Target group: People with sight loss, their friends and families.
