Service offered: Service provided at local offices. Provision of homelessness prevention & housing options advice, under Part 2 Housing (Wales) Act 2014. Assessment of housing circumstances and provision of interim accommodation to persons found to be in Priority Need. Management of council housing in Powys. Applications taken by telephone for placement onto the Common Housing Register, Housing advice, Adaptations, information to private/council tenants/homeless people on completing forms and other signposting to services and partner agencies. Out of Hours emergencies 0345 0544 847.
Target group: General public, including persons who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
Area served: Powys County Council – Powys County Council area, with council offices in Welshpool, Newtown, Llandrindod Wells, Brecon and Ystradgynlais.
