General information
Service offered: Range of services for Chinese speaking (Mandarin and Cantonese) community from East and Southeast Asian community. Our Helpline and Casework teams can provide direct help or referrals to specialist agencies on a wide range of issues, such as Universal Credit, Housing and Homelessness, Health and Social Services, Education, Employment, Domestic Violence, victims of Hate Crime and Modern Slavery with service user language support. Our Carer Support Service support older people and their carers working with Anticipatory Care to advocate and support on behalf of discharged patients and carers. We provide a culturally sensitive Dementia Awareness programme to improve the understanding and knowledge of people living with dementia in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset. The Freephone Helpline (Chinese Lantern Helpline service covers many different subjects and is available to all members of the Chinese community in the South West region. The phone line is open from 10am-4pm, Mon-Fri except bank holidays.
