General information
Service offered: We provide a range of services for older people (60+) living in the Belle Isle area of Leeds. Volunteer visiting, practical help including gardening, shopping and cleaning. Assistance with home security and Winter warmth. Advice and Home Visits. Social activities take place at The 59 Centre - 59 Belle Isle Circus, Leeds LS10 3DU. The 59 Centre Activities timetable: Mon: 10:30am – 12 noon Chair based Exercise Classes; 1:30pm – 3:30pm Men’s Group / Tues: 12 noon – 3pm Lunch Club and Social afternoon / Wed: Various Trips & Outings (please phone for details) / Thurs: 10am – 12 noon Craft Group / Fri: 1:30pm – 3:30pm Social Group. We also now feature a Digital Inclusion Service on Wednesday's at our 59 Centre. There are two IT Classes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, to help older people with any IT or digital issues ranging from using their computers to manageing their smart phones, setting up email addresses and surfing the web safely. We also help older people to tune their digital televisions etc.
