Service offered: Information and Advice (by telephone or face to face meetings), social care options, benefits checks including warm homes support, tax and legal surgeries for power of attorney, estate planning, wellbeing checks, blue badges and form filling help. Help at Home housework, laundry, changing bedlinen and shopping, taking clients to appointments or social activities, gardening. Home from hospital and independence at home. Telephone befriending, LGBT+ telephone befriending. Footcare and podiatry. Exercise and wellbeing sessions, walking companionship, walking groups, walking sports groups, computer cafes and courses. Specialist support for people with dementia or memory loss, including meeting centres (daycare), dementia cafes and stimulation therapy. Training for the general public and for social care organisations (manual handling, health and safety, risk assessments in care settings, first aid, mental health first aid, mental capacity act, various courses for supporting people with dementia, autism, Parkinson’s, and adult care courses in frailty, infection control, medication management, oral healthcare, pressure ulcer and skincare, dignity in care, customer care and communication, end of life care and bereavement, challenging or distressed behaviour).
