General information
Service offered: Support and practical assistance for older people suffering from isolation and loneliness due to bereavement, disability and other health issues in Mill Hill and Burnt Oak. We offer a range of services throughout the year that include: 3 weekly lunch clubs, chiropody, befriending, advice and support, transport to surgeries and hospitals, shopping, social events, outings and gardening. Our weekly lunch clubs are a vital service in helping people out of isolation and to integrate back into the community. The cost is £7.00 for a 2 course hot meal and tea/coffee. The clubs are held on Tuesday - 12 noon-1.30pm - at The Sacred Heart MIll Hill, 2 Flower Ln, London NW7 2JB and on Thursdays - 12 noon-1.30pm - at Annunciation Church, Thirleby Rd Burnt Oak. A smaller club is held on Wednesday - 12 noon – 1.30 pm - at the Cottage Homes in Mill Hill. Our Chiropody clinics held twice a month, only at: Millway Medical Practice, 2. Hartley Avenue, Mill Hill, London NW7 2HX The cost is £30, considerably below the commercial rate.
