Service offered: Legal advice and representation on a range of issues - mental health, community care, debt, housing, homelessness, benefits and immigration. LSA’s Mental Health Legal Representation Projects, provide specialist legal advice, assistance and representation to people with mental ill health, their relatives and carers. The projects help with all aspects of Scots Civil Law including detention, applications and appeals to the Mental Health Tribunal for Scotland under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 and related issues such as homelessness, community care and child law. They can take on cases for Judicial Review and provide services in relation to family law.
Target group: General public.
Area served: Glasgow, Inverclyde.LSA are able to provide advice and representation to clients outside the Glasgow area through their Mental Health Project.
