Service offered: Services for carers from minority ethnic and other marginalized communities who are caring for adults in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Individual and group support. Casework and advocacy, advice and information. Carers' health and wellbeing service. Education and training, service and policy development , dementia support service for South Asian people with dementia, dementia support service for Chinese people with dementia, Chinese Cancer Screening Project, legal support for individuals experiencing difficulties in accessing self directed support. Gypsy/Traveller Project which supports Gypsy/Traveller Carers in Edinburgh & the Lothians, Perth & Kinross and Mid & North Argyll. The SDS Project helps Ethnic Minority carers and people receiving care access Self-Directed Support and other services.
Target group: Carers from minority ethnic and other marginalized communities who are caring for adults.
Area served: Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and West Lothian, Mid and North Argyll and Perth and Kinross. Some services are available on a Scottish wide basis (check with organisation).
