General information

Service offered: National charity providing an urgent free housing advice helpline, a website with self-help information, tools and templates, and a network of housing advice services. centres for people with housing problems. The Helpline is only for people with an urgent problem, including those who are street homeless, those at risk of eviction in the next two months, or those who are at risk of harm. Some local services run projects for families with housing issues. Provide training courses on housing and related issues (Shelter training - Shelter England). Campaigns and lobbies for people who are homeless or badly housed. Researches housing issues.

Target group: People who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or in unsuitable accommodation.
