General information

Service offered: Friends of the Elderly, a 100 year old charity, gives out small grants (up to £400) to older people on low incomes and in need of financial support. Typical grant purposes include (but are not limited to) utility bills, white goods, furniture, home repairs, digital connections (like a laptop), and unexpected living costs. Grants are made directly to individuals but applications must come from a referral agent - a professional caseworker/organisation - on the individual's behalf.

Target group: Older people State Pension age and above, on low incomes and with no/low savings
