Service offered: Streetwork’s Crisis Service on Holyrood Road provides support and advice to people who are homeless and in housing crisis in Edinburgh. We proactively seek out people in need of help on the streets through delivering outreach services in the city on a daily basis. Support offered is tailored to meet the needs of the individual and may include assistance to source accommodation and to deal with welfare benefits, addictions, health, employability and any other needs. Our Crisis Centre also provides amenities for people who are sleeping rough including access to showers, telephones and washing machines. The Crisis Centre operates on a drop in basis so no appointment is necessary. Streetwork also offers ongoing one to one support to vulnerable adults, women and young people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness. People who feel they would benefit from ongoing support can contact Streetwork directly to discuss their referral.
