General information
Service offered: Speak Out is an independent advocacy project that is funded by the South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership. We have been providing advocacy support to adults with learning disabilities who live in South Lanarkshire since 1997. We also support adults who have a communication disorder that is caused by physical disability, as well as carers for adults with a learning disability. We help people speak up for themselves so that they can participate in decisions about their lives. Our aim is to assist people to have more say in the services they receive and to obtain information in order to be able to make informed choices. We also assist people with raising issues which concern them, in order that these can be properly.
Target group: Adults aged 16+, including older adults aged over 65
Area served: South Lanarkshire.
