Service offered: Advocacy, Trafficking Outreach & Trafficking Refuge Provision. Ashiana Sheffield Limited is a specialist refuge for Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) women who have experienced domestic violence or who have been trafficked into the UK for the purposes of sexual exploitation or domestic slavery. Support Workers provide on-going practical and emotional support, as well as advocacy to enable women to access a wide range of services, including health services, counselling and access to legal advice.
Target group: BAMER women experiencing or escaping from abuse.
Area served: Sheffield and surrounding areas, but referrals taken from all over the UK.
