General information

Service offered: Carer support workers provide respite care for Carers of people who have care needs, in their own homes, providing practical support and personal care. Our Short Breaks Service: allowing Carers to take a regular/reliable break from their caring role. Health Appointments for Carers, we offer pre-bookable replacement care for health appointments enabling Carers to attend their own health needs. COGS Clubs: provide Cognitive Stimulation Therapy for people who have a mild to moderate Dementia - clubs run in Maidstone and Southborough, we also offer Carers Dementia Outreach Support either over the telephone or in your home /Crossroads-Macmillan. Hub club-Weekly activity club ( for people with health conditions that do not relate to dementia ). Small friendly group join together from 10-3 at our Wateringbury office for fun activities, company, and stimulation. Macmillan Crossroads providing volunteers who offer practical support and companionship to both Carers and the people they care for who are living with or affected by cancer. Carers Counselling service – up to 12 weeks free therapeutic support. Urgent Response Service: we provide an urgent response service to cover a period of crisis or an acute episode, a professional referral i.e. a GP is needed to access this service. Young Carers Clubs: provide support & activities for school age children who are in a caring role. We offer a User-Led Social Club at our office in Wateringbury, giving Carers & the person with care needs a chance to meet people, make friends and swap ideas.
