All Saints Centre
Public phone: 023 9283 9222
Service offered: Friends Without Borders is a charity that provides support for asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants within the Portsmouth area. We have two main projects both of which are run from All Saints Church on Commercial Road in Portsmouth. Firstly, the All Saints drop-in, run on Mondays and Thursdays, provides support, problem solving and socialising opportunities for those who attend. This service aims to reduce isolation and social exclusion by enabling clients to negotiate bureaucracy they may not understand and to build networks, both professional and personal. Secondly, our Access to Justice project is the only provider of free legal advice on immigration law from qualified advisers in the Portsmouth area. We run a number of English classes.
Target group: We help asylum seekers and other immigrants living in the local community of Portsmouth
