General information
Service offered: LDHAS provides essential needs as well as direct assistance with: health and wellbeing services (mental and physical); floating support; processing of benefits; housing or employment needs; drug and alcohol treatment; and access to identification documents. We operate an open-door policy, from Monday-Friday, providing a wide range of facilities and services. We provide a friendly and safe environment, free of judgement, for vulnerable people and those whose lives are in crisis. Anyone coming through our door can have their immediate needs met, ranging from hot food and showering to receiving support from staff on a one-to-one basis. We operate a ‘homeless hub’ which is a one stop shop providing office space for a host of incoming agencies to support the street homeless and the vulnerably housed; such as drug and alcohol services, Citizen’s Advice, lived experience groups and a range of medical professionals.
Target group: Street homeless, vulnerably housed, and impoverished people at risk of losing their home or tenancy.
Area served: Lancaster District (576 km2), North West England.
How to contact: LDHAS can be reached through phone (01524 842008) or email, agency referral, self-referral, and on a drop-in basis. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 1pm.
