General information
Service offered: St Cuthbert’s Hospice provide free care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses, people approaching the end of life and children who are bereaved. The Living Well Centre Day Hospice is for people with life-limiting illnesses. Living Well Centre guests can access therapeutic care, such as physiotherapy and complementary therapies. Those attending can take part in a range of activities that help to manage symptoms, improve mobility and independence and help them to feel supported. Some sessions are one-to-one where others are delivered as part of a group. St Cuthbert’s Hospice In Patient Care can care for up to 10 in-patients at any one time. People might stay with us as to get their symptoms under control before returning home, or for end of life care, when their illness is advanced. Each private room has warm, homely touches such as comfy chairs, cushions and curtains. They all have ensuite facilities and French doors that open to views of our award-winning gardens.
