General information
Service offered: Legal advice and information for people on low incomes referred by other agencies. Deal with social security, employment, immigration, mental health and community care. Representation at tribunals and court. Advice line, policy development, information and publications services. Training and consultancy service for advisers in member advice agencies, CABx, voluntary and statutory organisations, trade unions and others. We also have a project supporting young people who have been trafficked, and a Legal Support Project where volunteers and pro-bono lawyers provide social security and employment tribunal representation for those who would otherwise remain unrepresented.
Target group: People on low incomes with legal problems.
Area served: Northern Ireland.
How to contact: By referral from member agencies, except in specific projects involving issues such as forced labour and trafficking, where people can self-refer.
