Service offered: The Hinge centre is a small, local charity based in the heart of the Havenfield estate and is committed to offering support and services to the local community. We operate an open door policy at the centre and work in a professional yet non-judgemental manner. Our aim is to provide support, guidance, services and opportunities to those facing social and financial deprivation. The Hinge Centre is committed to ensuring support is available to some of the most vulnerable members of society. Some of the services & sessions we facilitate from the centre include: Job club & employability development, Independent Living skills for young adults, benefit & welfare support, Arts & Crafts sessions for vulnerable and isolated, sports sessions for older children, daily after school clubs, personal development one to one and group sessions (on topics such as budgeting, anger management), advocacy work, peer mentoring, independent living skills for adults with learning disabilities and homeless support including resettlement.
Target group: People who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, those with concerns regarding benefits and welfare.
