General information
Service offered: Free legal advice to members of the public. Cover a wide range of legal issues, including : Family, Employment, Landlord and Tenant, Wills and Probate, Mental Capacity Law (particularly dementia related issues), Small Claims and Commercial Law. Please note – Available during university term times. Advice is given in a written advice letter after a client interview with student volunteers under the supervision of a practicing lawyer. The LAC is unable to offer advice over the phone or by email. Opening Times: Beginning of October – two weeks prior to Christmas holiday. Beginning of February – Mid/End March (dependent on Spring break periods).
