Alzheimer's Society - Oxfordshire

Advice and information for people with dementia and their carers. Services include a day centre at Abingdon, a newsletter and a network of contacts throughout Oxfordshire providing support. Can also arrange home care through Crossroads Carers Support and the Clive Project, which provides a service for younger people with dementia.

Nightline - Oxford

Oxford Nightline is a completely independent listening, support and information service run for and by students of Oxford Brookes University and the University of Oxford. We know many students are having a difficult time. Whether in Oxford or at home, we are here to support them. We aim to provide every student in Oxford with the opportunity to talk to someone in confidence. Our volunteers are here to listen from 8pm to 8am, every night of the academic year. Nightline is run for students, by students, and operate independently of the universities we serve. We don’t pretend to have all the answers, or try to solve problems, but we care about whatever is on your mind and we will listen to whatever you want to talk about without judging or telling you what to do. Beyond support calls, we also we maintain an extensive database of information useful to students in Oxford, ranging from details of mental health services to STI clinics. And if you are walking home alone, we offer get home safe calls to chat until you reach your destination.

Oxfordshire Family Mediators, are a group of independent practitioners working in collaboration, to provide family mediation services. Oxfordshire Family Mediators are experienced in all kinds of family mediation, and have helped many hundreds of clients reach agreement on: How to deal with property, such as who will live where, how homes will be owned. How to divide assets, including pensions. How monthly finances will be managed, including maintenance payments and child support. How children’s arrangements will work on separation. How to support children and meet their needs. Oxfordshire Family Mediators also offer Child Inclusive Mediation, which is recognised as important for children adjusting to their parents’ separation.
