ASSIST (Withington)
Neighbourhood care group providing practical help for people in the Withington area of Manchester who have no one else to turn to. Volunteers provide help such as befriending, emergency shopping, transport, pushing wheelchairs, walking dogs, sitting in to relieve carers, and basic practical tasks. Lunch Club on Tuesdays for over 65s. Seated exercise classes on Friday mornings, Coffee group on Wednesday afternoons, volunteer help with phones/tablets etc on Wednesday afternoons. please call for more information/to book.

Headway Plymouth
Headway Plymouth’s primary objective is to provide support to survivors of traumatic brain injury, help them to come to terms with the changes in their lives and to learn to live as independently as possible. Clients are helped to redevelop independent living, social and communication skills through activities such as drawing, painting, cooking, board games, all designed to improve cognitive and problems solving skills. We provide respite care for family and carers.

Vale Community Impact
Vale Community Impact, or VCI, serves Wantage, Faringdon, Watchfield, Shrivenham and all surrounding villages in Vale of White Horse Council. It provides three services. Advice – topics include debt, benefits, employment, consumer rights and many more. Transport scheme - provides travel to hospitals, doctors and day centres for people unable to use public transport. Good Neighbour scheme – provides support to elderly and vulnerable people including befriending and shopping. VCI also hosts loneliness pop-up café’s in village halls across the district every 2-3 weeks.
