Relate - Derby and Southern Derbyshire

Counselling services for anyone with relationship difficulties, whether married, single, living with or in a relationship with a partner of the same or opposite sex. Psychosexual counselling service and family counselling. Telephone Helpline service (0808 178 9363) on Tues/Thurs 10am - 1pm. Costs of appointments are £15 non-refundable registration fee and £65 per one hour appointment.

Telephone advice and information on employment rights, business support. Consultancy service for employers. Training courses.

ASSIST Trauma Care

Therapy for individuals and families affected by post traumatic stress, post traumatic stress disorder and those who ahve suffered a bereavement through homicide or have been the victim of a criminal act. Telephone helpline. Support and understanding. PTSD assessment/treatment. Early intervention work. Information.

Break

Break’s core business is the provision of children’s homes for Looked After Children in their home Local Authority. Break has six mainstream children’s homes in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire and a Therapeutic Fostering Service offering single placements to young people who will have experienced significant trauma. Young people leaving Break’s care continue to be supported by our in-house Staying Connected Team. In addition to the mainstream homes, Break has two children’s home for young people with profound learning and physical disabilities and a short-break scheme for children with disabilities. Break also provides a range of assessment and support services to children at risk through a Residential Family Centre in Lowestoft and a range of community-based services, including assessment work, across East Anglia.

Doncaster Rape and Sexual Abuse Counselling Service

Telephone, webcam and face-to-face counselling for women, men and children who have been raped or sexually abused. Counselling by appointment Monday-Thursday 9.30am-5pm and Friday 9.30am - 4pm with some limited evening availability. Advocacy Service for people who have reported sexual offences to the Police. Information, talks and training for other agencies, awareness raising work.

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland

We offer confidential counselling, advocacy, helpline, email support, specialist information and ISVA services.Face to face services available by appointment for women living, working or studying in Tyneside or Northumberland. Volunteering opportunities (but not counselling placements) and membership scheme. Training for professionals.

Basildon Mind

Support for people in the community who have mental health problems, including Counselling and Helpline Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs 10am-8pm, Fri 10am-4pm and Sat 10am-2pm (Please phone 01268-284130 to check current opening hours, variable during covid pandemic). Five supportive group homes for people with mental health problems and 1 fte Advocate.
