Hastings Advice and Representation Centre (HARC)

HARC is a registered charity providing specialist welfare benefit advice and representation to people of all ages across East Sussex. We offer an end to end confidential and impartial support service covering all stages of application up to and including appeal tribunal. HARC phone advice is available Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm. Aldingbourne Trust

Services for adults with learning disabilities. Residential/day care, supported employment, work skills training & help in seeking paid or voluntary work. Outreach work & craft service. Charges for day/residential care. Disability awareness training for businesses, schools & statutory agencies. Conference facilities, Open Farm, Children's Woodland/Play Area, Cafe, Sand & Water Play Area, Maze, Children’s Play Area & Seasonal Evens.

Seaview Project

Drop-in centre for people in need, including homeless people. Advice on benefits, education, training, jobsearch. Housing advice, including pre-tenancy, resettlement, tenancy sustainment. Sessions with mental health outreach team, nurse, chiropodist. Regular visits from specialist substance misuse agencies. Showers, laundry, clothing, low cost lunch.

Energise Sussex Coast

Energise Sussex Coast helps residents in East Sussex to bring down the cost of electricity, gas and water bills and also to save energy and carbon. Our free, friendly service is for everyone. Most people can save money on their bills. We can help with: Accessing support through the energy price crisis. Advice on saving energy and bringing bills down. Freebies such as LED lightbulbs, draught-proofing kits, mould monitors, energy monitors. Help with problem bills and talking to your supplier. Advice on how to access free or part-funded insulation and energy efficiency measures. Boiler replacement or repairs. Advice on the cheapest energy tariffs available. Support to access grants and the Warm Home Discount. Help with energy and water debts. White goods (grant funded). A chat about easy DIY home energy saving and how to keep your home affordably warm for people now working from home. Home visits from our Green Handyman to install energy saving measures such as draught proofing.

The Under 25’s Substance Misuse Service

Multi-disciplinary team offering services to young people aged under 19 who have drug or alcohol problems. Services include advice and information on drug and alcohol issues, assessment, individual counselling, GP advice and detox. Services for children of substance misusing parents.

ESCC Family Information Service

Information and advice on all Children's Services, childcare facilities and services for children and young people aged up to 20 (25 with additional needs). Information and signposting on funding, Early Years Education, and school admissions.
