Advice, assistance & practical help for older & disabled people living in owner occupied, leaseholder or private rented accommodation. Help with repairs, improvements & adaptations to the home. Help with grant assistance for repairs & adaptations. Handyman service. Fees charged for works, but usually included in grant funding. Advice on home security for elderly and vulnerable people.

Worthing Samaritans

Telephone helpline (116 123) operating 24 hours a day offering emotional support for anyone in crisis. Offers a listening service to people who are isolated, feel in despair or who are suicidal. The national Samaritans number (116 123) can also put callers through without delay to their nearest unengaged branch.

Aldingbourne Trust

Services for adults with learning disabilities. Residential/day care, supported employment, work skills training & help in seeking paid or voluntary work. Outreach work & craft service. Charges for day/residential care. Disability awareness training for businesses, schools & statutory agencies. Supports, promotes and develops local voluntary action and services. Offers information on a wide range of local voluntary organisations, community and self-help groups. Offers meeting room for hire for charities and organisations. 15 seater minibus for hire.

Outreach 3-Way

Range of services for adults with learning disabilities. Run 5 residential homes, a day resource centre and a supported housing scheme. Activities include help with personal care and daily living skills, art and crafts, aromatherapy and massage.

West Sussex Mind Community Services - Worthing

As part of the West Sussex Pathfinder Alliance we offer recovery based personalised services for people with mental health problems. Ongoing or one off support for people who are in crisis or in need of extra help, housing support, information and signposting about other services within the community and complementary therapies.

Impact Workability

We have partnered with Aldingbourne WorkAid to deliver a new Supported Employment West Sussex,(SEWS) service from April 2020. There are two projects from Impact Workability – 1. Support for people with a physical disability, sensory impairment and/or acquired brain injury, aged 16+ living in West Sussex, not mandated to a DWP or ESF program and would like information, support and guidance on finding and sustaining paid employment. 2. Support for Carers (friends or family), aged 16+, living in West Sussex, not mandated to a DWP or ESF program and would like information, support and guidance to help find paid or unpaid work, training or education. Aldingbourne WorkAid support people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
