Young Epilepsy

National charity working on behalf of children and young people with epilepsy. Provides diagnosis, assessment and rehabilitation services. Also has a specialist school and college, providing day and residential services, up to the age of 25, offering education and healthcare for children and young people with epilepsy, autism and other neurological conditions. For those in distress or requiring urgent support, Young Epilepsy has partnered with Shout to offer free, confidential, 24/7 text support to young people and families living with epilepsy. University of Surrey Students' Union

The Support Zone is made up of five Part Time Officers and led by the full time VP and together they ensure that the Union has student support in mind in all its activities. The Zone is responsible for helping students support students through both Nightline (a listening service) and Welfare Watch (a service supporting students after nights out in Rubix), as well as Student Minds (a service coming soon). The Zone also facilitates open discussions around important but sometime sensitive issues through the Let’s Talk campaigns. If you have an issue that is more personal, then the zone also offers some tailored support on a variety of issues including academic advice, housing, personal safety and victim support.
