The charity aims to promote community integration, re-integration, social inclusion and cohesion within the Swale and Kent communities. It is our belief that individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, age, gender etcetera, should be treated with dignity, respect and adequate opportunities to access services within the community. The charity offers a holistic and person-centred package of care and support for our service-users on issues such as debt management, housing, employment, education, health, and business opportunities. We also run special interest groups, projects, lectures and symposia aimed at informing, educating, inspiring and challenging people in Kent into self-reliance and self-actualisation.

Independent Living Services include: Gardening, Handyperson, Hot Meals Delivery and Hands 2 Help (cleaning, shopping & collection and transport). Wellbeing Services include:Wellbeing Centre, Wellbeing 2 You, Café Culture, Walking Football/Netball & Cricket, Hula Hooping, Supported Swimming and Armchair Exercises. Specialist Dementia Services include: Dementia Specialist Day Centre, Dementia Specialist 1:1 support and Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy/Cognitive Stimulation Therapy.

Mental Health Resource

Mental Health Resource provides safe spaces and person-centred mental health support in our community to help people improve their wellbeing. Our 5 key projects, are: 'The Hub' - a vibrant well-being centre which offers a range of wellbeing activities to improve the lives of anyone living with poor mental health. The 'Serenity cafe' -an out-of-hours crisis café on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. 'Reachout' - confidential support groups, in Edenbridge, Paddock Wood and Southborough, which focus on wellbeing in a caring, non-judgemental environment. 'Reachout Youth' – informal and creative sessions, located in Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge, for young people aged 13-19, term time only. 'Assert' - a specialist advocacy service provided to those who are detained (“sectioned”) under the Mental Health Act 1983 and for people suffering mental health issues in the community. Kent Law Clinic

Clinic services - If you live in Kent and need legal advice but can't afford to pay, you can seek help from the Clinic. We currently specialise in the following areas of law: employment, family, housing, immigration, public law and welfare benefits. We may also be able to offer advice in the following areas: wills and probate / civil litigation. Term-time only (October to March inclusive). We can take on a very limited number of cases in September and January which are conducted by student caseworkers under the supervision of the Clinic’s legal practitioners. Where possible, we will offer you a free Monday evening advice session with a volunteer legal advisor. Law students will attend and observe the advice session. PLEASE NOTE - between the period of March to September, the Clinic operates a referral service.

Glaucoma UK is the charity for people with glaucoma. We’re here for people with glaucoma and their loved ones. We campaign to raise awareness so glaucoma is detected early and can be treated, we support people to live well with glaucoma and we fund sight-saving research. We are a membership organisation, and those living with glaucoma are at the very heart of all we do. We support people to live well with glaucoma by providing a telephone helpline, glaucoma support groups, peer support services and widely acclaimed information booklets.

Healthwatch Kent

We are the independent people’s champion in Kent. We offer free information and signposting for people who need support to navigate the health and social care system. We also actively gather people’s experiences of local health and social care services. We then use these experiences to help improve services for others
