Somerset & Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support (SARSAS)

Helpline offering emotional support, signposting information, and access to other services for women and girls who have experienced any sexual violence at any time in their lives. Provide support and information through the helpline, regular support sessions, and via email. Also run a helpline for men and boys 0808 801 0464. Calls to 0808 80 numbers are free to call from landlines and mobile phones within the UK and do not appear on itemised bills.

Well Aware also run a phoneline with friendly advisers providing information, advice and guidance.

Wiltshire and Bath Independent Living Centre

Assessment centre with an Occupational Therapist and equipment designed to make life easier for anyone who has difficulty with everyday activities - cooking, bathing, climbing stairs etc. The centre does not sell anything, but offers advice on what is available and where to obtain it. All visits to the centre must be arranged in advance.

Help with accessing statutory and charitable sources of funding for adaptations and repairs. Caseworker service looking at acute housing needs to prevent admission to or delayed discharge from hospital. Handyman service to assist with small jobs. Our showroom in Bristol has displays of bathing adaptations, including walk in showers and bath lifts. Working equipment to try out including shower toilet, stairlifts, riser / recliners, kitchen with adjustable hob, assistive technology, bedroom with bed aids including profiling bed and demonstration telecare products. Private OT available by appointment.
