BYHP (Because Young People Matter)

We provide a range of specialist interventions offering support, advice and guidance to young people 13-25, and their families, facing known root causes of youth homelessness. Those that are at risk of NEET, relationship breakdowns, or with mental health and therapeutic needs. We work within North Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. Mental Health: Counselling, and other one to one interventions, using evidence-based therapies, emotional literacy, and self-management tools to support a range of complex challenges. NEET: One to one mentoring and coaching to help young people develop self-confidence and self-esteem, stay in education, access alternative provisions, or become work ready. Homelessness Support and Food bank: Access to phones, computers or support with the housing process. We are happy to provide all services users and their families a foodbank on request. Family Services: Our mediation service is a confidential process where young people and their families are encouraged to explore and understand any differences they may have.

PECAN

Personal development and one-to-one support for unemployed people including ex-offenders, older workers, families. Information, advice and guidance for disadvantaged people, providing training and support with finding jobs and volunteer placements. Employment preparation, including interview practice, CV writing, job applications. Southwark Women’s Space – a safe women only centre for women. Southwark Foodbank – a hunger crisis support outreach across the borough – Vouchers All people needing support from the foodbank need to have a voucher issued to them. Vouchers can be issued by voucher referral agencies. Peckham Pantry is a membership scheme that will make your money go further. Members of Peckham Pantry pay £4.50 per shop, which gives access to fresh fruit and veg and store cupboard favourites – to the value of £15 or more. We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to residents of Test Valley in Hampshire, relating to: benefits, work, money and debt, consumer, relationships, housing law and rights, discrimination, tax, healthcare, education, and more. We have two offices where residents can drop in to speak to an adviser (Romsey Former Magistrates Court Mon-Fri 9:30-12 and Andover Chantry Centre Mon-Thur 9:30-12), along with three outreach sessions at Romsey Foodbank (Tue-Thur 10:30-12:30), Andover Foodbank (Mon-Fri 10-12) and Whitchurch Town Hall (Tuesdays 9:30-1).

Churches Action for the Homeless (CATH) Community Hub

Drop in Community Hub for anyone needing support or just a chat, our main target group is homeless people and those at risk of homelessness aged 16+, however we are open to anyone 16+ in the Community where we offer housing advice, including referrals to emergency and longer term housing, pre-tenancy, resettlement and tenancy sustainment support. We offer a full range of activities including a men’s and women’s groups and work in partnership with other agencies such as CAB, Voicability, Harbour Counselling, IDART Health, Remploy, Perth College, Allstrong Gym, families outside and PKC Foodbank. Working together to meet the needs of the wider Community and those who are facing barriers to a better way of life. We provide literacy, numeracy and life skills. Members of the public can use our showers and laundry facilities as well as breakfast and lunch, telephone, computer and internet access. We may be able to provide clothing. We facilitate SMART Recovery Family and Friends and SMART Recovery Meetings. Our Community Garden is a therapeutic space for anyone who would like to get involved.
